Pastor Shiabu Scholarship
Pastor Yohanna Shiabu served as a co-laborer on the Across Nigeria team. In 2021, after our team finished an evangelistic tour through Northern Nigeria, he was brutally attacked in his home by armed Muslims. He was killed almost instantly. The men who killed him claimed they had murdered him in retaliation for his work to further the gospel. In 2022, Across Nigeria set up a scholarship to help former Muslims who are called to be trained to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Every year, we accept applications from Nigerian students enrolled in a Bible Institute or Seminary. Our scholarship covers not only tuition, books, and fees but also covers room and board, along with the cost of living. Our goal is to help support and sustain exemplary Bible students who are serious about the call of God upon their lives. We do this to honor the memory and work of our friend and co-laborer, Pastor Yohanna Shiabu.
